Celebrating science

The mind of a child is limitless, and TELUS World of Science - Edmonton understands this best.

TELUS World of Science - Edmonton previously known as the Edmonton Space Sciences Centre, opened its doors to the public in 1984. For almost 40 years, TELUS World of Science has been dedicated to engaging Albertans’ hearts and minds in science. They attract upwards of 500,000 visitors every year, making them the most-visited cultural attraction in Northern Alberta and Canada’s third most visited science centre. TELUS World of Science - Edmonton has a strong track record of sustainable operations with 75% of their operating revenues self-generated through admission fees and retail operations. These funds are used to subsidize their educational programs and have been significantly impacted by COVID-19. With a change in their operating model, due to the pandemic, TELUS World of Science – Edmonton's opportunities for earned revenue have been significantly impacted.

While continuing to enrich the minds of young Edmontonians through science, exhibits and experiences TELUS World of Science - Edmonton provides a variety of inclusive programs from pre-school to grade 12, enabling children to inspire discovery and reinforce the joys of learning. TELUS World of Science - Edmonton commits to challenging the Edmonton community to recognize the importance of science and technology in their personal and professional lives, while delivering objective, high quality, hands-on programs that are relevant to individual’s various learning styles.

KV Capital is excited to partner with TELUS World of Science - Edmonton through their Partner Supported School program to strengthen educational programming by building a new model of in-person programming for the 2022/2023 school year and reach underserved students. Students through the Partner Supported School program enjoy the centre for the day (often for the first time) and experience learning through a whole new lens.
