Paul has over 35 years of collective experience in the development and real estate industry, and has provided a high degree of creativity to help raise, manage, and deploy capital through a lens of integrity. An accomplished C-Suite Level Executive, Paul has a proven track record of managing risk and promoting growth. To date, he has structured over $500M in equity and arranged over $1B in debt. Paul’s tenure at Anthem United, and its predecessor company, United Communities—a real estate development company focused on the development of residential properties in Alberta and California—began in 1992 where he served as CFO from 1997 until 2018. During that time, he helped guide the company through an IPO, a subsequent privatization, and its dramatic expansion that followed. In 2015, he assisted in the sale of the company and stayed on board to focus on supporting the transition over the course of the next four years.

At KV Capital, Paul provides mentorship and training to the commercial real estate finance business development team regarding relationship management, deal structuring, and market knowledge. He continues to serve as an experienced support mechanism to promote efficiencies and help improve processes and technology tools to accelerate growth.

Paul believes it is vital to support the success of team members and foster relationships on the foundation of trust and honesty. When Paul’s not working, he enjoys hiking with his wife—whether in the Foothills and Canadian Rockies, or on the trails of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains of Southern California.
