David Carr brings more than 25 years of executive experience in the building materials sector to his role as a strategic advisor to KV Capital’s private equity group. Within this capacity, David assists with identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, supporting portfolio company growth, and contributing to sustainable performance strategies across the private equity division.
Prior to joining KV Capital, David led a vertically integrated manufacturing company that was publicly traded at the time of his arrival. Three years into his tenure, the business was acquired by a private equity firm, where David remained as President and guided the company through a multi-year value creation plan. This work ultimately culminated in a successful sale to a publicly traded U.S. strategic acquirer.
Earlier in his career, David formed a strong foundation in governance, M&A, and operational execution through senior leadership roles across retail, distribution, and supply chain operations. His deep industry expertise allows him to offer thoughtful guidance across the building products and construction supply sectors.
David is currently completing his Doctor of Business Administration, with research focused on private equity buy-and-build strategies in the lower mid-market, as a complement to his career experience.
Outside of work, David is an Ironman triathlete, a former ski instructor, and a lifelong advocate for community leadership and continuous learning.
