Alex Dorscheid

In his role as an Analyst Intern, Alex Dorscheid supports the Private Equity team by conducting various forms of qualitative and quantitative research, performing detailed analyses, and handling other due diligence tasks. He also contributes to the  monitoring of portfolio companies, creation of presentations, memos, and documents related to vendors, purchasers, senior executives, and Investment Committee presentations.

Previously, Alex worked in Business Valuations and Financial Litigation Support at one of the largest full-service independent accounting firms in western Canada. During this time Alex was primarily responsible for assisting with the valuation of private companies with enterprise values ranging up to $100 million as well as the quantification of complex legal cases.

Having just received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, Alex is still involved in a variety of leadership positions on campus including Co-President of the University of Alberta Accounting Club, Debate Captain of Alberta JDC West, and was previously a member of the U of A Board of Governors—representing the interests of over 30,000 undergraduate students at the highest decision making body of the institution. He was also a member of the Golden Bears Men’s Soccer team and was selected as a member of a 4-person team representing the University of Alberta at the Norwegian School of Economics International Case Competition in Norway.

Outside of work and school, Alex enjoys being outdoors in all seasons, spending his time quadding, camping, skiing, and playing soccer.
