Kate Yaroslavteva

Kate, currently in her fifth year pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting, serves as a Analyst Intern at KV Capital. In this role, she conducts extensive market research across various industries to support the Private Equity team's portfolio of companies. Kate actively contributes to the development of presentations, memos, and documents for diverse stakeholders, including vendors, purchasers, senior executives, and Investment Committee presentations.

Prior to her current position, Kate successfully completed a co-op placement at one of the world’s largest full-service independent accounting firms. Initially, she worked in the U.S. Tax department, where her responsibilities included the preparation and filing of tax returns. Later, she interned with the M&A and Capital Markets team, actively participating in the entire M&A process, from deal sourcing to closure.

Throughout her undergraduate journey, Kate assumed the role of Teaching Assistant for various business courses and actively engaged with multiple clubs at the Alberta School of Business. Her roles included VP, Finance and VP, Logistics for the Rocky Mountain Business Seminar, as well as holding positions such as Tax Director and VP, Finance for the Accounting Club, where she currently serves as Co-President. Kate is also deeply involved in international case competitions, having represented the Alberta School of Business in Australia and Florida, with plans to do so again in Spain. Her connection with the KV Capital team originated from her participation in domestic case competitions. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Kate finds joy in activities such as bowling, hiking, and traveling.
