As Senior Director of Private Equity, Gordon leads the acquisitions and originations team by managing the sourcing, review, and evaluation of new acquisition opportunities. He is actively involved in all aspects of the investment process, transaction execution, ongoing monitoring of portfolio investments, and debt financing initiatives. He leverages his past experience and network to contribute to the growth of the KV Private Equity Fund and mentoring of employees. Gordon is a Chartered Accountant, and in addition to that holds a Strategic Management Certificate and a Certificate in Commercial Credit.
Gordon brings over 10 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry. Prior to joining KV, Gordon worked at a large North American Bank where he managed a portfolio of clients and was involved in numerous debt financings for Canadian and American companies. Gordon’s past experience extends to a management role held at a regional fitness change leading a financial planning and analysis team. Prior to that, Gordon worked at a CPA firm, where he led audit, assurance and tax engagement to both private and public companies listed on the TSX, TSX Venture, NYSE American and OTCQX exchanges. To date, Gordon’s most notable career accomplishments include being involved on several successful public company IPO’s.
Since 2007, Gordon has been an active member of the Marine Drive Golf Club Junior Development Committee. His volunteer experience includes the Simon Fraser University Beedie School of Business, Mentors as a Business Program Volunteer, as well as the Fraser Valley Regional Fundraising Lead for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Gordon is also multilingual, and aside from being fluent in English, he is also fluent in Cantonese and conversational Mandarin. When he’s not working, he can be found either on the golf course or in the mountains.
