In his role as Senior Director, origination, Doug is responsible for building and managing strong borrower and partner relationships while structuring tailored real estate financing solutions across a range of asset types.
He brings over 20 years of experience in real estate lending, having started his career in traditional banking before working across several institutional lending platforms. More than a decade ago, Doug transitioned into private lending, where he has focused on providing flexible, solutions‑oriented capital to support complex real estate projects.
Throughout his career, Doug has originated and structured financing across a broad spectrum of lending products, including construction loans, term financing, second mortgages, bridge loans, land acquisition, and land servicing. He is known for his collaborative approach and his ability to align financing structures with both borrower objectives and risk considerations.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys golfing, playing hockey, and spending time with family and friends. He has also been actively involved in the community, coaching hockey for his son’s teams for many years.
