As Vice President, Investment Management, Mat oversees the business unit’s Investment Management team with primary oversight of the credit function of KV’s Real Estate Debt division. He also has oversight and responsibility for KV’s Loan Administration and Funding teams. Mat is passionate about optimizing processes and finding efficiencies to help add value and simplicity to borrowers and mortgage investors.
Mat obtained his CPA designation in 2017 and has over five years of experience in the financial services industry, with three years focusing on public practice accounting. His most recent role working at ATB Financial with the Real Estate Group entailed managing a portfolio of $600M in senior debt relationships spanning across all asset classes throughout Alberta. Outside of work, Mat enjoys spending time with his growing family, spending time outdoors, and watching basketball with friends.
